JEWELRY care

PRODUCT CARE GUIDE
Silver is one of the most beautiful and precious metals, and with the passage of days and time it is affected by oxidation and climatic factors, so preventive measures must be taken to preserve it, and Fayendra offers you some tips for dealing with it.
Store your silver pieces in Fayendra’s distinctive boxes and avoid mixing them with other metals to prevent scratches or discoloration from gold, which can be caused by friction between stones and metal.
Keep each piece within a velvet bag or nylon bag with a lock, especially in marine areas, to avoid peeling the rhodium layer and keep it away from moisture and oxidation. You can order the bag from our stores.
Avoid applying cream or spraying perfumes directly on the area on which you want to wear the piece, but rather spray the perfume or apply the cream a while before wearing the piece.
Avoid contacting the pieces with cleaning agents or chemicals such as hair dyes, chlorine solution, or other cleaning solutions.
Avoid wearing bracelets and bangles while sleeping, exercising, or doing housework.
To resize the bracelets or rings, don’t press on them since this could cause the stones to fall and shatter. Instead, go to one of our showrooms and request to resize them professionally.
Try to wipe the pieces after each use with a soft cloth to keep its luster as long as possible. Do not hesitate to visit our stores and get the necessary maintenance done for a nominal fee if any of your Fayendra pieces become damaged or need to be polished.
The pieces should not be exposed to hot water, steam, a blow dryer, or other heated sources. It is also preferred to remove them while eating the traditional way by hand, since this might cause the stones to fall out, lose their brilliance, and shorten the coating’s lifespan.
It is advised to refrain from wearing silver jewelry while swimming or showering, as exposure to moisture and chlorine can accelerate the deterioration of the rhodium or gold plating, and cause oxidation of the silver.
Rosaries should be handled with care to avoid impacts or falls that may cause breakage. Avoid rapid twisting, as it can damage the string or create friction between the stones. Fayendra is not responsible for any loss or damage to the beads, separators, minaret, or thread breakage resulting from improper handling or accidents. Note that gemstones are valued for their rarity and beauty, not their hardness.
Ensure rosaries are securely placed to prevent falls, as such impacts can cause breakage of the beads or the minaret.
Use canes with care and strictly for their intended purpose to prevent damage. Refrain from leaning on them to avoid the risk of breakage.
Turning off the watches when storing them makes them last longer.
Avoid using commercial silver polishing materials, as they may affect the shine of the products. Use Fayendra’s dedicated polishing cloth, available at our stores, to maintain the shine. Gently polish in an up-and-down motion, avoiding circular movements to prevent scratching the silver.
